For decades, some of the best songs written for movies have come from the James Bond franchise. The best and brightest artists dominating the charts are chosen to write and the themes that back one of history’s most iconic characters. The past two 007 films have featured the Oscar winner for Best Original Song.

With Daniel Craig reprising his dazzling portrayal of Bond for the upcoming new installation, No Time To Die, expectations are high. When it was announced that Grammy winner Billie Eilish would write and record the theme, we knew it wouldn’t disappoint.

Here are our five favorite songs from the Bond franchise, including Eilish’s new track, “No Time To Die.”

Billie Eilish’s “No Time To Die”

Eilish’s pretty, eerie voice proved to be a perfect match for Bond. Big, dramatic melodies performed by orchestra music isn’t typically her style, but her vocals still stun even within the grandness of the strings and brass. We’re sure this will be among the best 007 themes remembered as the franchise continues to progress.

Shirley Bassey’s “Goldfinger”

Shirley Bassey’s big band 007 theme is a classic old-school spy theme. It’s a sexy, lilting condemnation of a womanizer, warning other women of the games he plays. The jazzy track was recorded for the 1964 film Goldfinger, in which Sean Connery played the lead role.

Adele’s “Skyfall”

Adele’s incomparable voice was the perfect fit for the 2012 Bond film Skyfall. The serious tone pairs perfectly with the movie’s darkness and Craig’s intense portrayal of the charming yet fierce operative. The track earned the Academy Award for Best Original Song.

Paul McCartney’s “Live and Let Die”

The former Beatle penned this tune for Roger Moore’s debut as 007 in the 1973 film Live and Let Die. It’s an energetic, high tempo take on a Bond theme with a melody as action-packed as the movie.

Nancy Sinatra’s “You Only Live Twice”

This romantic Bond theme by Nancy Sinatra captures all the black tie events, impossible feats and sexy encounters that are characteristic of the films. It was recorded for the Connery’s 1967 portrayal of 007 in You Only Live Twice.
