Anne-Marie Nicholson is a British pop star who’s breaking onto the American scene and beyond.

On stage, Nicholson, or simply Anne-Marie, began touring with the group Rudimental for a few years in the early 2010s. In 2015, she released her first solo EP, Karate. That same year, she also released her first charting single, “Do It Right,” and began her rise to stardom in the United Kingdom.

In the following years, Anne-Marie released her first full-length album and some successful singles. She also began collaborating with other high-profile artists. She was featured as the vocalist on several EDM tracks by internationally known DJs and dueted with other pop stars. These collabs are what took her career to the next level.

“fuck, i’m lonely” with Lauv

Anne-Marie teamed up with new electro pop superstar Lauv to create this track for the third season of Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why. This snappy, sexy, longing track is sweet and sour all at once, and Lauv and Anne-Marie’s voices make a perfect pair.

 

“To Be Young” with Doja Cat

Anne-Marie released this song in July as the third single from her still-untitled second album. “To Be Young” is a slow pop ballad with a surprisingly light verse from one of hip-hop’s new favorite ladies, Doja Cat.

 

“Friends” with Marshmello

DJ Marshmello is known for working with artists from all genres, but his collaboration with Anne-Marie is the style of song he does best — a pop-infused electronic bop. “Friends” reached number eleven on the Billboard Hot 100, making it one of Anne-Marie’s most successful American singles to date.

 

“Don’t Leave Me Alone” with David Guetta

Anne-Marie also collaborated with DJ David Guetta to create this energetic electronic track in 2018. “Don’t Leave Me Alone” peaked at number eighteen on the UK singles chart that year.

 

“Rockabye” with Clean Bandit and Sean Paul

“Rockabye” was a breakthrough single for Anne-Marie. DJ Clean Bandit released it in 2016 with her as the main vocalist and rapper Sean Paul featured on one verse. The song spent nine consecutive weeks at number 1 in the UK.
