After the release of the documentary Framing Britney Spears, Britney Spears is back in the spotlight and the #FreeBritney movement is gaining traction.

The fan-led movement advocating for Britney to be freed from her conservatorship has been ongoing for some years now. But the recent release of the documentary has brought more information to light and raised awareness about her sad situation.

While the legal battle plays out in court, we’re taking time to remember the pop icon that Britney is. Though she and her career came under more scrutiny than she deserved, she still thrived and became one of the biggest stars of a generation. Her fun and sexy singles were the soundtrack to the 2000s, and we should honor her musical legacy while we wait to see if she can take back her freedom.

“Toxic” is yet another Britney classic. The music video features an airplane bathroom hookup, shockingly sexy poisoning, and lots of shots of Britney in a barely there bedazzled outfit.
