CHELSEA CUTLER
From EDM Features to Stunning Soft Pop

Since the mid-2010s, Chelsea Cutler has been building her career from the occasional EDM feature to a full-length studio debut and now to an upcoming solo tour. From bedroom recordings to an album released by one of the world’s biggest labels, she’s attracted a loyal fan base drawn to her sweet voice and lyrical vulnerability.
The 22-year-old started releasing her music online during high school, covering tracks from her favorite DJs including, Louis the Child, Kasbo and Kidswaste. She then scored a collab with Louis the Child in 2017, along with Ayokay. Her biggest hit came last year with “Not OK,” a track by the popular Norweigan DJ Kygo that peaked at number eight on the Billboard Electronic/Dance chart.
Cutler’s success and following from her EDM projects and solo EPs led to the release of her solo debut album this year. How To Be Human dropped on January 17 through Republic Records, a phenomenal label that signed superstars like Ariana Grande, Drake, Taylor Swift, Post Malone and more.
How To Be Human is 16 tracks of soothing pop melodies and raw, honest lyrics. “I Was In Heaven,” a single released before the album, is an original demo recording with soft guitar and musings about longing and heartbreak. The album’s title track is another highlight, a piano-driven melody with a strolling beat and lonely introspection. The tune and lyrics diverge sharply from one another, a recurring theme throughout the album.
Cutler has an American and European tour planned that will keep her on the road and performing in small and mid-sized venues. She’ll also sing at Coachella, her first festival performance. It should pave the way for more big things ahead.
