Ed Sheeran and Company
The British star’s upcoming collab album

British phenom Ed Sheeran is back in action, releasing his typical infectious pop hits and sharing the radio spotlight with a range of other popular artists.
The 28-year-old recently announced a full album of collabs after dropping two singles, one featuring Justin Bieber and the other including verses from Chance the Rapper and PnB Rock. The remaining featured artists have yet to be revealed, but the 15-track album set to release in July is sure to be full of high-energy blends of pop and hip-hop.
“I Don’t Care,” the first single Sheeran released with Bieber in early May, is a cool tropical-sounding tune with a quirky music video. Bieber’s much anticipated return to music-making was well-suited for Sheeran’s cool and summery song.
Sheeran shows off his affinity for hip-hop in “Cross Me,” featuring the prodigious Chance the Rapper and PnB Rock, another up-and-coming hip-hop artist. Sheeran’s played with bits of lyrical rap regularly since his first album, but “Cross Me” ventures into something a little bolder.
An album full of collaborations will surely allow Sheeran to further explore different genres and test his voice and its comparison to other big names in contemporary music. Until its release in July, we know we’ll be guessing which of our favorites will team up with him to create the next chart-topping hit.
