Americans know international music about as well as their geography—not so much.
Måneskin, no strangers to the pressure of competition (they finished second in Italy’s X Factor in 2017), dominated Eurovision 2021. The Rotterdam crowd went pazze (crazy), and the juries and tele-voters agreed that Måneskin rocks.
Who says rock is dead? These Romans are out to prove guitar-driven rock n’ roll is still alive and kicking. Their Eurovision-winning song “Zitti e buoni” (translation: “shut up and behave”) is a war cry. Fight for your art! That they do. They currently have two singles in the UK’s top ten. Official Charts lists “I Wanna Be Your Slave” and “Beggin” at numbers 6 and 10, respectively.

Americans learn your geography and listen to music beyond your borders! If Måneskin can quote Nicki Minaj, the least you can do is give Eurovision some love.
