Glass Animals cuts deep
The Brit band dishes up delicious “Pork Soda”
What do the music festivals of Glastonbury, Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza have in common? They all hosted the English indie trip-rock band Glass Animals in the last year, to the utter delight of the millions of attendees.
One critic called the energetic band the highlight of the Chicago Lollapalooza show, saying lead singer Dave Dayley is “pure bliss on stage…and created one of the best sets of the entire festival.” That’s saying a lot considering that Chance the Rapper and Arcade Fire also lit up the Windy City that weekend.
In March, Glass Animals released its fourth, deliciously titled single “Pork Soda,” from their critically acclaimed 2016 second album, How to Be a Human Being, and have been playing around the world ever since.
