Gucci Mane’s event

Guwop won't slow down for love or money

Gucci Mane—aka Radric Delantic Davis—has never been hotter, or more productive. As popular as he’s been for the last 12 years, releasing hundreds of trap-rap tracks, 2017 is clearly the prolific rapper’s year to shine.

Not only did he win a VMA award for the sexy video “Down” with Fifth Harmony, he collaborated on the fetching single “Fetish” with Selena Gomez, and just released a single, “Curve“, featuring the Weeknd, from his upcoming CD.

The performer also decided to put pen to paper and came out with his memoir in September. The Autobiography of Gucci Mane tells of the hip-hop star’s difficult childhood, his time growing up in rap-centric Atlanta, stints in and out prison, and a life-threatening addiction to cough syrup.

But the book also reveals the soft side of Guwop (as he’s known) and his relationship with his fiancé, Keyshia Ka’oir, a Jamaican model, music video star, and cosmetic and fitness entrepreneur. Keyshia is the person responsible for Gucci’s incredible transformation from overweight and unhealthy, to the trim, fit, drug-free man he is today. On October 17th, BET will broadcast The Mane Event, a documentary of the lovebirds’ wedding. The Wopsters’ Wedding promises to be the biggest, most spectacular event of the year…or maybe ever! His new video for his single “Met Gala, feat. Offset,” above, is like a crazy bachelor party for the soon-to-be bridegroom.

Not one to do anything small, Gucci is also releasing his first full CD since getting out of prison last year, Mr. Davis, at midnight on the 17th. A red-letter day for the Wopsters obviously!

As for the future, Gucci has no plans to slow down. Next year, he promises to released a mixtape every other day at #MrDavisTheAlbum and is starting to write his first screenplay, which will no doubt be a huge success. Oh, and did we mention he’s got a new fashion line called Delantic as well? You can’t call Guwop lazy, that’s for damn sure.
