HOTTEST AT THE VMAs
Fire Performances by Miley, Ariana, BTS +

The MTV Video Music Awards are always one of the hottest events every year. Some of the most legendary live performances and most memorable moments in recent music history have happened on the VMA stage.
This show was another year full of spectacle — even without the usual live audience energizing things. The first COVID-era awards show did not disappoint. Its unconventional format allowed the artists to take their performances to the next level.
Here are the hottest performances from the 2020 VMAs.
MILEY CYRUS’ “WRECKING BALL” RECREATION
Miley Cyrus sang her new single “Midnight Sky” and gave us a blast from her past. She recreated her classic “Wrecking Ball” music video by swinging from a sparkly disco ball while belting out the hot new song from her upcoming album.
LADY GAGA AND ARIANA GRANDE’s JOURNEY TO CHROMATICA
Lady Gaga gave us a stunning nine-minute show featuring a medley of all the best songs from her latest album Chromatica. Ariana Grande made an appearance to perform their collaborative hit “Rain on Me,” and we give both ladies props for the phenomenal performances while making COVID-style masks look good.
BTS BROUGHT THE HEAT
These days, no awards show is complete without a fabulous Kpop dance break. As always, BTS showed up and delivered a killer performance. The boys looked incredibly dapper in their suits and ties as they performed their single “Dynamite.”
DOJA CAT SAID SO
Dressed up like a very sexy luminescent alien, Doja Cat performed a steamy mashup of her hits “Say So” and “Like That.” Her costume, set and dance moves all gave off a sexy glow that transported us to another world.
THE WEEKND’s ROOFTOP SPECTACLE
With his VMA performance, the Weeknd took his hit “Blinding Lights” to new heights — literally. He performed from a rooftop, surrounded by flashing strobe lights. He ended the performance with an enormous fireworks display.
