HOTTEST SONGS FOR FILMS
10 Tracks from Lady Gaga, Elton John +

We know the timeline’s a little different than usual, but it’s still one of the most exciting times of the year –– Oscar season. The Academy Awards are on the horizon, with nominations scheduled to be announced on March 15. We’re all prepping by watching the biggest movies of the year (from home, of course).
To celebrate the upcoming celebrations of the biggest and best films of the year, we’re reflecting on some of the sexiest original music made for movies. Here are 10 of the hottest songs made for cinema:
Lady Gaga’s “Why Did You Do That?”
We know “Shallow” was the star song in A Star Is Born (2018). But we wanted to give Lady Gaga’s underrated pop masterpiece “Why Did You Do That?” a little more love. This hot, danceable tune is one of the best on the movie’s magnificent soundtrack.
Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away”
Our next selection comes from Top Gun (1986). In the film, a young, handsome Tom Cruise and costar Kelly McGillis act out a very steamy sex scene as Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away” plays.
SZA & Kendrick Lamar’s “All the Stars”
Kendrick Lamar curated a fabulous soundtrack of original songs for Marvel’s 2018 film Black Panther. Although “All the Stars” isn’t played during an incredibly steamy part of the movie, it’s a very sensual song, and Lamar and SZA are the perfect R&B pair to perform it.
Post Malone’s “Sunflower”
Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse (2018) was a unique animated movie with exceptional music. Post Malone’s “Sunflower,” the biggest song to come from the soundtrack, mixes romance, flirtiness, and dysfunction to create the perfectly playful love song.
Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes’ “The Time of My Life”
It doesn’t get much sexier than Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing (1987). The sensual dance scenes and intimate on-screen moments between him and co-star Jennifer Gray are almost too much to handle. “The Time of My Life” is the perfect backtrack for it all.
Huey Lewis & the News’ “The Power of Love”
“The Power of Love” is the ideal 80s rock ballad, and it’s the perfect song for one of the decade’s most iconic films, Back to the Future (1985).
Simple Minds’ “(Don’t You) Forget About Me”
The Breakfast Club (1985) is all about breaking the rules –– including romantic ones. The film ends on the perfect sexy, rebellious note with Simple Minds’ “(Don’t You) Forget About Me).”
Elton John’s “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?”
Yes, this is the song from Disney’s The Lion King (1994). But hear us out –– this is one steamy love song. Give Elton John’s Grammy-winning track a close listen, and you’ll see what we mean.
Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On”
Again, we know what you’re thinking. Celine Dion’s iconic ballad from Titanic (1997) is sad. But “My Heart Will Go On” is also about deep love and devotion that gets anyone in the mood.
Bryan Adams’ “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You”
Bryan Adams is a master at film songwriting. He penned “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You” for 1991s Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991). The sultry love song topped the Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks.
