Iggy Azalea Is Back

Iggy Azalea and Tyga Whip It Up Hot On Kream

In anticipation of her new EP “Survive the Summer,” which is set for an August 3 release date, Australian rapper Iggy Azalea has released a new music video for her song “Kream.” The video, which has already garnered over 43 million views on Youtube, features American hip hop artist Tyga, whose sixth album “Kyoto” dropped in February of this year.

An undeniable nod to rap collective Wu Tang Clan’s 1993 classic “C.R.E.A.M.” which stands for Cash Rules Everything Around Me, Azalea’s message in “Kream” is not much different. In the very opening of the song, Azalea makes it clear that her mission is to make money by any means necessary to get the power she wants with the line, “First you get the money / then you get the power.”

In addition to “Kream,” Azalea has released two other singles that are set to be featured on her new EP Survive the Summer: “Tokyo Snow Trip” and “Savior.” The latter, which has over 14 million views on Youtube, features a guest spot from Migos’ rapper Quavo.

The video itself draws in the viewer with a collection of bright outfits set against dark backgrounds that makes you feel like you’ve found yourself in the VIP area of a nightclub. Fitting with this trance-like atmosphere, the video is a collage of neon lights, mountains of cash, and butts. Lots and lots of butts. If you ever considered for a moment that twerking was a thing of the past, Iggy Azalea is here to prove you otherwise.

If “Kream” is any indication of what’s to come on Survive the Summer, we have no doubt that Iggy is set to heat up your summer.
