24KGOLDN: FEEL THE VIBE
His Viral Single + What’s Next

Golden Landis Von Jones, better known as 24kGoldn, is only 20 years old but has his sights set on big things. His emo-rap style, which has become so popular in recent years, has already helped him stand out from the crowd and take over the charts.
Jones became one of the hottest artists of the moment in 2020 when his single “Mood (feat. iann dior)” went viral on TikTok. It didn’t take long for the funky blend of pop, rock and rap to reach to stretch beyond the platform. “Mood” soon reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100. A remix featuring Justin Bieber and J Balvin followed.
But before “Mood,” Jones was already turning heads. His real breakthrough came in 2019 when he released his single “Valentino.” The song quickly racked up 100 million listens on Spotify. Soon after, Jones dropped his first EP Dropped Outta College. (Jones did, indeed, drop out of college to pursue his rap career.) He signed a record deal with Columbia Records that same year.
Jones biggest year came in 2020. He earned a coveted spot on XXL’s 2020 Freshman Class list in August. Soon after came “Mood.” That year, he was also featured on a remix of Olivia O’Brien’s pop hit “Josslyn,” and collaborated with edgy British pop star YUNGBLUD. Finally, Jones released another single “Coco” featuring fellow trending rapper DaBaby.
In 2021, Jones is scheduled to release his debut studio album El Dorado. Few details are known about the album now, but we’re expecting something great based on all the great tracks he’s released so far.
Jones’ other hope for 2021, besides a successful album release, is simply to be able to perform again.“I’m most looking forward to just going and seeing the fans again,” he told ABC. “That’s the biggest motivation for me to make music, is knowing that the music I make, I’m going to be able to go out and perform on tour in front of people and share this collective moment together. And and have the words that I thought of in the studio or outside the studio come to life, and see how that affects people.”
