JASON DERULO’S FIRE RETURN
His Sexiest Videos + New Music
We all got down to Jason Derulo’s early hits like “Whatcha Say” and “In My Head” in the 2000s. Later, we bopped to more popular hits like “Wiggle” and “Talk Dirty.” Now, after an unofficial hiatus from the spotlight, Derulo is making a comeback with new sexy hits.
Jason Joel Desrouleaux got his start as a songwriter, penning hits for Diddy, Lil Wayne, Sean Kingston, Danity Kane and more. His first hit single as a solo artist, “Whatcha Say,” was released in 2009 and was an instant hit that reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
So far, Derulo has released four solo albums and collaborated with a number of other popular artists from a range of genres like Demi Lovato, Pitbull, Nicki Minaj and David Guetta. He’s been a regular figure on the charts, especially in the UK, where his silky smooth voice and blend of pop and R&B have attracted a dedicated fanbase. The steamy lyrics to some of those hits have attracted our attention.
Derulo’s last full-length album, Everything is 4, was released in May 2015. He’s been relatively quiet since, exploring an acting career by appearing in the notorious Cats (2019) film and making guest appearances in multiple television series. He released an EP in November 2019 and had plans for another to follow, but creative differences with his record label stalled the release. Despite the delays and obstacles, Derulo is making a comeback to music.
In June 2020, Derulo released “Savage Love (Laxed — Siren Beat).” The track samples a viral melody produced by New Zealand DJ Jawsh 658 that became a smash hit on TikTok –– a platform on which Derulo himself is a frequent and popular user. The song is a classic flirty Derulo hit that’s reached number one in the UK, New Zealand, Ireland and Australia. In the US, it’s reached number 7 on the Hot 100.
According to Derulo, more music is in the works and we can expect a release before the year is over. To hold us over, we’re watching these five sexy music videos from Jason Derulo.
Talk Dirty (feat. 2 Chainz)
As Derulo so aptly points out in this single from 2013, sometimes things get so steamy language isn’t necessary. He and his beautiful backup dancers bring that idea to life in the “Talk Dirty” music video.
Want to Want Me
A very sexy hookup during an apocalyptic storm? Yes, please. Derulo’s desperation for his woman’s body in the music video for his 2015 single “Want to Want Me” has us ready to brave the elements, too.
If It Ain’t Love
The music video for this hot 2016 hit portrays an office romance with some steamy choreography that’s both artistic and arousing.
Wiggle (feat. Snoop Dogg)
Sometimes a song is so catchy, you can’t help but shake it. That’s what goes down in this music video, which shows the fantasy pool party of our sexiest dreams.
Trumpets
Derulo reacts surprisingly well to a full marching band interrupting his sexy encounters just before things get hot and heavy. The “Trumpets” music video is as playful as it is sexy.
