In “Call Off Your Dogs”
The indie-pop band quartet—comprised of Rachael Price (singer), Mike Olson (the guitarist/trumpeter), Bridget Kearney (bassist) and Mike Calabrese (drummer) who first met while studying jazz at Boston’s New England Conservatory—continue to expand their eclectic range. Whereas their previous efforts were mostly infused with an R&B vibe and jazz riffs, their 2016 album, Side Pony, focuses more on disco and rock ’n’ roll beats. “We don’t want to become a formulaic band—we want to continually be evolving,” said Kearney to Rolling Stone. The infectious single, “Call Off Your Dogs,” is the album’s third track.
