Lena Headey’s new role
The GoT actor stars in Kasabian’s new video

Lena Headey’s been playing the meanest, not to mention, craziest Queen in HBO’s Game of Thrones for seven years now, but Cersei has left the Iron Throne for even weirder pastures. Dressed in a red hoodie and nerdy glasses, the almost unrecognizable actress stars in Kasabian’s newest music video for their bouncy single, appropriately titled, “Ill Ray” (The King), from their sixth studio album, For Crying Out Loud.
Helmed by her writer/director fiancé, Dan Cadan, Lena’s character has a plan to resurrect King Richard III with magic potions and spells. Groveling in a parking lot (a nod to where the real Richard III’s remains were discovered in 2012) with candles and powders, she does indeed awaken the dead King. Immediately smitten, the crazed conjuror takes the Monarch on a rather disgusting bar crawl in London.
Yes, the drunken antics are a bit beneath our Evil Queen, but we’ll take anything we can get until the final season of Game of Thrones returns in 2018.
