Liam Gallagher’s Latest
“Shockwave” and The Album To Come

Liam Gallagher has boldly pressed on in the music scene since the disbanding of Oasis. His days as the frontman of one of Britpop’s foremost groups will likely always be his legacy, but he’s been on a quest to prove himself as a solo artist in recent years.
Late 2017 brought Gallagher’s first solo album, As You Were, which received positive reviews from music critics across the globe and attracted the attention of more than one rock legend. In 2018, Gallagher supported the Rolling Stones in a stadium show in London, and he recently announced he’ll be supporting The Who during its U.S. tour in the fall.
The 46-year-old is still working hard in the studio, too. He announced via Twitter in late May that his second studio album, titled Why Me? Why Not is soon to come, and followed up the announcement with the release of a single a week later.
The release of the new single, titled “Shockwave”, shows off his rock roots and his willingness to experiment with new, modern elements in sound and style. It’s gritty and guitar heavy, with a cheerful and harmonious chorus.
For all his controversial moments, Gallagher is a gifted musician. His solo career is inseparable from the distinct Oasis sound he’ll always be known for, but he’s proven himself a more than respectable solo artist, too. We’re looking forward to more details about Why Me? Why Not and more of that distinct Gallagher croon.
