MACHINEGUN KELLY
Shoots For The Stars

Machine Gun Kelly has been a consistent figure in rap since releasing his debut album Lace Up in 2012. He’s a hometown hero in Cleveland and has recently become known for dating incredibly beautiful women (he’s currently with Megan Fox). Lately, he’s been keeping us on our toes with hot new singles and highly anticipated new projects on the way.
Richard Colson Baker is 30 years old and already a veteran rapper. He released his first mixtape in 2006 when he was still a teenager. Although it took six years and five more mixtapes to catch the record label’s attention, Baker persisted. In 2011, he scored a deal with Bad Boy and Interscope Records and has worked with it ever since.
Since his debut release in 2012, Baker’s been a busy guy. He’s released three more albums and had a few hits reach the Hot 100 and various hip-hop and alternative charts. His collaborative tracks have been some of his most popular singles. He has recently worked with artists from a range of genres, including Camila Cabello, YUNGBLUD and Trippie Redd.
Throughout his entertainment career, MGK has also dabbled in acting. He’s appeared in several films, including Netflix’s Bird Box and The Dirt and played a recurring role in the Showtime series Roadies.
Machine Gun Kelly’s most recent work is some of his most exciting. His spunky collab track with Blackbear, called “My Ex’s Best Friend,” dropped just weeks ago and currently sits at number 84 on the Hot 100.
Baker’s fifth studio album Tickets to My Downfall is scheduled to drop Sept. 25. Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker reportedly produced the record, and it will mark MGK’s departure from rap music and entrance into the pop-punk genre. He’s released two singles from the tracklist: “Bloody Valentine” and “Concert for Aliens.” Both are the kind of relentless rock songs that make us nostalgic for our teenage years. We’re excited to hear the rest of the album.
