We all remember Miley Cyrus as a kid. As Hannah Montana, she was Disney Channel’s most significant success, attracting adoring fans with her TV series, movies, studio albums, live concerts and more. After Disney, she struck out on her own, pursuing a career as a film actress and musician with a new grown-up image.

Since then, Cyrus has taken several turns toward the wild side. She flirted with a sexier version of her public image with the release of her third solo studio album Can’t Be Tamed in 2010, then took a deeper plunge in 2013. Cyrus chopped off her long brown locks, replaced them with a bleached buzz cut, and became one of music’s most notorious stoners. She made her triumphant return to the charts with the single “We Can’t Stop” and the album Bangers.

Cyrus has continued her ride on that personal and professional rollercoaster. Her musical style ranges from hip-hop to psychedelic pop to country rock. She’s expressed regret for past scandals, married and divorced longtime lover Liam Hemsworth, became a vegan activist and released two more albums. Her image continues to evolve, but she’s made one thing clear — she’s transformed herself into the woman she wants to be. To hell with others’ expectations.

We’ve always been fascinated and turned on by Cyrus’ unapologetic badassery. We’ve been closely watching and waiting for her next exciting move, but we’re unsure of when that will come. In the meantime, here are her five sexiest music videos to enjoy:

Can’t Be Tamed

Cyrus had been inching toward a sexy new image before the release of “Can’t Be Tamed,” but this music video showed a whole new seductive side when it premiered in 2010. Dressed in a lingerie/bird costume hybrid, she eyes the camera while shaking her hips alongside other sexily dressed dancers.

 

Wrecking Ball

Cyrus’ most iconic video came during the Bangerz era. A newly blonde Miley gives an emotional performance of the breakup track she wrote for Liam Hemsworth while swinging from a literal wrecking ball and seductively licking a hammer in a barely-there white T-shirt and cheeky underwear.

 

Mother’s Daughter

“Mother’s Daughter,” was released in 2019 and is one of Cyrus’ newest sexy hits. She’s clad in a red latex bodysuit and sends lots of kinky vibes as she purrs, “Hallelujah, I’m a freak” and bares her teeth at the camera. This steamy video is also a testament to women’s power, with lots of empowering scenes featuring women of all kinds.

 

We Can’t Stop

This collection of strange party scenes served as Cyrus’ debut as a bonafide party girl and her first public twerk. With her tongue out (among other things), she sings “We Can’t Stop” and dirty dances alongside hip-hop producer Mike WiLL Made-It and several other scantily clad women and men.

 

Adore You

The video for this 2013 single is simple, yet oh-so-sexy. It shows an unclothed Cyrus rolling through bedsheets, sucking her fingers and splashing around in a bathtub while filming herself. The soft, romantic lyrics of the track make this experience more intimate and sensual than many others on our list.
