A new hit song for a new year! The lead single from Troye Sivan “My My My!” has the pop star feeling invincible after finding a new love, while also playing as a new pop anthem for the young and queer from all around the world. “I’m just trying to show people that you can be queer, live your life, and be happy,” the Australian singer/songwriter told Teen Vogue in 2017.
The 22-year-old singer found success a few years ago with his debut Blue Neighbourhood, as a collection of pop songs about coming out and experiencing romance for the first time. And now with Sivan’s new yet-to-be-titled follow up, the queer icon is embracing a new fling with lyrics like, “Spark up, buzz cut/I got my tongue between your teeth/Go slow, no, no, go fast/You like it just as much as me.”
“My My My!” is about discovering your sexuality and wondering how far you can go with a new hookup. The song is full of youthful lust and desire from its hot-and-heavy hooks and steamy and lascivious melody. Even the song’s bridge features a sexy moment when the Aussie lets his guard down and just goes with the passion of the night.
The new year is starting off great for Troye Sivan. He’s taking the success of “My My My!” to New York City as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live with host Jessica Chastain on January 20.
