Oscar and the Wolf’s video for “The Game” is all gothic drama and dance floor desire, like the dark corners of a nightclub where you’re not quite sure what might happen next. That’s no accident—the Belgian alt-pop artist, also known as ax Colombie, says “The Game” is “…grittier, darker and sexier but still about relationships and doubt. Ultimately I’d describe it as tears on the dance floor in the dirty twerk remix.”
The first album from Oscar and the Wolf, Entity, led to critical acclaim and sold-out shows at home in Belgium and abroad. “The Game,” co-produced with Noah Breakfast, is the first single from Oscar and the Wolf’s sophmore effort, coming soon from Neon Gold. The moody electro sound has definitely caught our attention. Can’t wait to see what this next album brings.
