Pussy Riot: Grab This!

The Russian feminist punk-protest-rock group Pussy Riot—who were released from jail in 2013 after serving most of a two-year sentence for performing anti-Putin songs—recorded “Straight Outta Vagina” back in February, before Donald Trump’s infamous comments to Billy Bush about grabbing a certain relevant part of the female anatomy were publicly released. No matter: Pussy Riot is more than happy if people interpret their song as a talk-back to Trump. It was written and performed by Nadya Tolokonnikova, David Andrew Sitek, Desi Mo Bradley, Leikeli47 and Josh Werner, and the video (above) is directed by Phillip R. Lopez and was filmed at the Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
