Staz Lindes Rocks

Staz Lindes is a model we love. You may know her as the newest face of YSL Beauty or from her work for Moschino. But when she’s not walking the runway, Staz fronts the L.A. band the Paranoyds. The girl-group foursome are all raw DIY garage punk, with a fuzzy 70’s-surf bass line that belies their west coast roots. Staz’s musical pedigree runs even deeper—her older brother Misha fronts surf rock trio SadGirl and her dad is Dire Straits guitarist Hal Lindes. “Bad Idea,” on the band’s debut EP After You, mines all these traditions, and throws in grungy cult horror references for added an added edge.
