Steamy “Señorita”

The Sexiest Collab of the Year

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, two unbearably beautiful musicians, have teamed up for what is surely the sexiest collab of the year so far.

“Señorita,” a slow and sultry song with a crisp Latin beat, is the ode to a hot and dysfunctional summer love we didn’t know we needed. Cabello’s sweet soprano croon carries the melody in the most enticing way. Mendes’ deeper, but equally sweet masculine tone mixed in only makes the song more tantalizing. Lyrically, it’s boldly suggestive, with sigh-worthy lines like “I should be running / You keep me coming for you.”

The spicy single’s accompanying music video leaves no room for guessing about the song’s sensual nature. Director Dave Meyers beautifully plays with light and creative camera work while Mendes and Cabello show off their infectious on-screen chemistry, dancing and holding one another in night clubs and hotel rooms alike. The montage of increasingly intimate scenes ends with Mendes literally riding into the sunset on a motorcycle while Cabello is left behind –– an end that’s frustrating, sad and sexy all at once, perfectly capturing the nature of the song.

The sexy serenade by two of pop music’s biggest young stars is a treat to the ears and the eyes. “Señorita” will surely be one of the hottest new songs of the summer –– and we’ll be heating up to it long after the weather turns cold again.
