TAYLOR SWIFT IS FEARLESS
From Taylor's Version to Newbies From the Vault

Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated re-release of her 2008 album Fearless is finally here.
Swift is currently recording most of her discography to reclaim ownership of her work. Her sophomore album Fearless is the first album to be re-released in total, which only seems appropriate. It was critically acclaimed after its release and elevated Swift to the next level of stardom.
Fearless (Taylor’s Version) includes six brand-new songs “from the vault.” These are tracks that Swift wrote while making the original Fearless album but didn’t make it onto the final tracklist. So, not only do we get Swift’s recreation of the songs she wrote as a young artist, but also some we’ve never heard before.
Here are the six new “from the vault” tracks on Fearless (Taylor’s Version) ranked.
6. DON’T YOU
Yes, “Don’t You” takes the last place on our ranking of the new Fearless songs. But don’t get it twisted –– we love and appreciate this song. It’s the kind of slow and longing ballad about a lost love Swift has crafted throughout her whole career. It’s a fun listen because we can see how far her songwriting has come since she penned these lyrics.
5. WE WERE HAPPY
Next on our list is “We Were Happy.” This song transports us back in time to when Swift was a country music artist. Its lyrics are complete with references to farms and pickup trucks, and it perfectly illustrates a small-town love story like so many of Swift’s early songs.
4. BYE BYE BABY
This track is a little more energetic than many of the new additions to the Fearless tracklist. It’s all about the sadness and frustration we experience when love falls apart. The instrumentals especially stand out in “Bye Bye Baby,” hearkening back to Swift’s more guitar-heavy days.
3. THAT’S WHEN (feat. KEITH URBAN)
For this track, Swift teamed up with longtime friend Keith Urban. Swift was an opener on Urban’s tour during the original Fearless era, so, ideally, they worked together to create something new for the album’s re-release. “That’s When” is a delicate song about falling apart and coming back together, and its duet format makes it even more emotionally resonant.
2. YOU ALL OVER ME (feat. MAREN MORRIS)
At number two, we have the second new collaborative track included on Fearless (Taylor’s Version). Country queen Maren Morris sings stunning backup vocals on this airy breakup track, and Swift’s strong lyrics make “You All Over Me” feel grown-up, although she wrote it as a teenager.
1. MR. PERFECTLY FINE
At the top of our list is “Mr. Perfectly Fine,” a quintessential early Taylor Swift breakup song. This track shows every reason why we fell in love with Swift so many years ago. It’s punchy, ruthless, and emotional. Perfect for screaming in the car while cursing your ex-lover’s name.
If that wasn’t enough to convince of the song’s greatness, consider this. The masses speculate the song is about Joe Jonas, but even his wife, Sophie Turner, thinks it’s a bop.
