Remember your favorite song from 2009? Or that 80s hit your parents played at home? They might just be going viral once again, thanks to TikTok.

Songs released years ago are being revived online as TikTok audios. Whether remixed, covered by upcoming artists, or creators are choreographing new moves to the melodies, we love seeing the songs we used to love on the charts again.

Here are ten songs that are resurging on TikTok long after their original release:

Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros’ “Home”

From road trips to nostalgic slideshows of old photos, “Home” is featured in TikTok videos of all kinds. The folk-rock track first released in 2009, and the original plus several covers have made it one of the most popular songs on the platform.

Rihanna’s “Desperado”

“Desperado” was not one of the most popular tracks on Rihanna’s ANTI  2016 album. But a cover posted by TikTok user TwistedMelodies is now trendy for more sensual content on the platform.

Corinne Bailey Rae’s “Put Your Records On”

Corinne Bailey Rae’s “Put Your Records On” is a timeless, feel-good track released in 2006. A cover by up-and-comer Ritt Momney went viral on TikTok some months ago and recently reached number 87 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Coldplay’s “Yellow”

What’s your “Yellow“? TikTok creators are using the Coldplay tune from 2000 to show clips and photos from their happiest moments.

Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams”

Perhaps the most notable TikTok revival story is the story of “Dreams.” When TikTok user 420doggface208 posted a video that showed him cruising on a skateboard while listening to the iconic 1977 single, it quickly became the most viewed video on the platform ever. Not long after, “Dreams” reached the number 1 spot on iTunes more than thirty years after its release.

Sean Kingston & Justin Bieber’s “Eenie Meenie”

The year 2010 was a simpler time. Justin Bieber and Sean Kingston’s amazing collab “Eenie Meenie” was released, and life was good. Now, TikTok users are making the song go viral once again, ten years later.

Nelly Furtado and Timbaland’s “Promiscuous”

Some more scandalous TikTok users are soundtracking their videos with Nelly Furtado and Timbaland’sPromiscuous.” The song initially dropped in 2006 and reached the top spot on the Hot 100 at the time.

BØRNS’ “Electric Love”

If you’re a TikTok user yourself, you’ve seen the challenge associated with BØRNS’ Electric Love.” Users wait until the 2015 indie rock track reaches the chorus, then kiss a crush or best friend on camera to see their reaction. Is it sweet or staged? Either way, the song is excellent.

ABBA’s “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!”

We again return to the 1970s with this song from ABBA. It’s ok to admit that you’ve tried (and failed) to learn that complicated TikTok dance to “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” We have, too.

Aly and AJ’s “Potential Breakup Song”

Finally, we end our list with a 2007 Disney Channel favorite given new life. Aly and AJ’sPotential Breakup Song” has become a sassy breakup anthem that’s the perfect inspiration for both grim and funny TikTok videos.
