Woolf & Co. Get “On It”

Sam Woolf and the Como Bros. Are on The Rise

BY: Rudie Obias

After meeting at a show at Webster Hall in New York City in 2015, Sam Woolf and Matt & Andrew Como became quick friends when they discovered they all had a passion for songwriting and performing. With a new EP title Backbeat In The Morning just on the horizon, the trio released its first single and music video “On It,” which explores their tunnel vision-like focus in finding success in the music industry.

The music video, directed by Josh Parsons, features the trio dressed in tuxedos performing on a simple white set. The stripped down nature of the music video focuses the viewer’s attention on the performance itself, which is full of snappy hooks and catchy melodies. Simply put, “On It” is an infectious song that will have you engaged and tapping your toes after just one listen.

Sam Woolf, who was a top five finalist on American Idol in 2014, and The Como Brothers blend elements of funk, rock, and pop into something that sounds like it could be this summer’s hot new song, as the trio takes cues from Pharrell Williams, John Mayer, and Justin Timberlake. Despite the trio’s dorky white boy appearance, the single has a certain level of hip and cool that transcends mere looks and style. If this is the debut single from Backbeat In The Morning, I want to hear the rest of it right now!

On It” is now available on Spotify, while the Backbeat In The Morning six-song EP drops later this year. For more info, check out SamWoolfMusic.com and ComoBrothers.com.
