Yeah Yeah Yeahs Return!

Count down to the comeback of the indie band

In 2014, Yeah Yeah Yeahs went on hiatus after 14 years of growing popularity, stardom, and winning awards. It just seemed that band members Karen O, Nick Zinner, and Brian Chase needed a well-deserved break from constantly recording and touring.

But there is some good news here. The New York City-based indie rock band is planning a comeback at the Sound on Sound Festival in Austin, Texas with Grizzly Bear, The Shins, Hot Chip, and Japandroids. The music festival runs from November 10th-12th, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs will take the stage on opening night. This is the band’s first live performance in four years and is something to celebrate!

To mark the occasion, Yeah Yeah Yeahs released a few demos from the Fever To Tell sessions, the album that introduced the world to the band in 2003. Take a listen to a four-track demo of “Black Tongue” and a previously unreleased song called “Shake It.”

The band is also releasing a full-length documentary called There Is No Modern Romance, which follows the band’s ups and downs during the Fever To Tell tour (above).
