Keith “Bang Bang” McCurdy is the New York-based tattoo artist who inked a revolver onto Rihanna’s ribcage, etched the word “forgive” onto Justin Bieber’s hip and drew a large lion head on model Cara Delevingne’s forefinger. Being the go-to tattoo guy for celebrities of all stripes means Bang Bang gets a rarified view of today’s biggest stars. “I’ve seen many of the most famous people, particularly women, half naked,” Bang Bang has said. “It’s kind of part of my job, though. I’m a tattoo artist, and skin is my job.” One of the best ways to see the artist’s work is to follow his shop’s Instagram feed (@bangbangnyc), which features photos of his coolest, most exotic creations as well as candid shots of some of his famous clients.
