There are 150 highlights in this curation from a collection of 446 images that were recently acquired by the MFA.
We have covered Howard Greenberg’s exhibits and photographers many times, as he has a unique eye in the field of acquiring and curating photography. We like what Howard likes. Everything in the collection has a story and a uniqueness that attracted Howard to the work and has always knocked us out at PROVOKR with his sensibility and the magic of the photography.
The works range from European modernist masterpieces, depression era images, wartime photo journalism and African American life from the 1930’s through the Civil Rights movement.
Among the impressive images is work from Berenice Abbott, Margaret Bourke-White, Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Walker Evans, Robert Frank, Dorothea Lange, Gordon Parks, Edward Steichen, and Weegee. “Viewpoints” is a lifetime of passion for Howard Greenberg and a once in a lifetime chance to see this staggering, stunning photography.
