PAOLO ROVERSI
Flashes of Timeless Beauty and Soul

Prepare yourself for an experience of timelessness, a capturing of souls and beauty boldly exposed when you look at the photographs of Paolo Roversi. MAR Art Museum presents the solo exhibition of one of the most revered photographers of our time in Paolo Roversi – Studio Luce.
The exhibit begins with Roversi’s early photographs of friends, artists and his first fashion photographs. We are taken through three floors of his stunning, at times, absolutely breathtaking life work. An archive of Roversi’s muses is celebrated with photographs of Natalia Vodianova, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Rihanna. Other highlights include his photographs for the 2020 Pirelli calendar featuring Kristen Stewart and Emma Watson. His fashion images over decades for clients like Dior and Comme des Garcon are simply gorgeous works of art as is his editorial photography for magazines like Vogue.
You are given the opportunity to explore and understand Roversi’s images and at the same time his imagination. His work seems heavenly influenced from growing up and living in Ravenna, Italy. In 1973 he moved his studio to Paris. It is Ravenna that inspires his search for a timeless place of pure and even spiritual beauty. Roversi was always shooting in a studio. The key to creating Roversi’s dreams and desires is the light. Here he can bring mystery, discovery and light together. He never shot photographs without his Deardorff camera. His work is so well constructed, his eye so magical that the results are exquisite flashes of startling beauty and soul.
