Netflix is buzzing with new and exciting TV content. Just by scanning through “Recently Watched” or “Trending Now,” one can pick out gems like Mad Men and American Crime Story are easy. This week, we’re bringing you the 10 best shows to binge on Netflix right now.

American Crime Story

The two seasons, The People v.s. O.J. Simpson and The Assassination of Gianni Versace, are cinematographic tour-de-force, channeling moving performances through a world of stark imagery and colors which brings the viewer in depth of each crime the show depicts. Season three is slated for a September 2020 release, with the story focusing on the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky scandal. The seasoned producers from American Horror Story, including Ryan Murphy, will guarantee a good binge.

Black Mirror

Black Mirror is a suspenseful mystery series where technology wrecks havoc on characters. Created by Charlie Brooker and produced by Brooker and Annabel Jones, Black Mirror has five series and several films under its belt. “Bandersnatch,” Black Mirror’s interactive film with WIll Poulter is an interactive feature where the audiences decide what happens in the plot.

GLOW

In GLOW, follow the life of an out-of-work actress in Hollywood who spearheads a new career as a women’s wrestler alongside other forgotten Hollywood faces in the 1980s. It embodies girl power, which is why we love it. This show stars Allison Brie and Betty Gilpin and season three just landed on the streaming platform.

Outlander

Outlander is a historical period drama which follows Claire Randall as she teleports through time, living one life in post World War II Scotland, then another in 1743. In each world, she takes on a different lover and passions tear Randall apart as she deals with the violent cultural differences of 1700s. It’s definitely the sexiest show ever.

Russian Doll

Russian Doll is a comedy following the life of Nadia, who relives the same party over and over again. Moreover, the night of the party is that of her death. This cool comedy is one season deep, so if you’re looking for a new show to follow along with, this is it.

When They See Us

This powerful political drama depicts the events of the Central Park 5 Case, where five young boys were convicted of a rape that courts exonerated them of after years of incarceration. Academy Award nominee Ava DuVerynay directs this show in three parts. When They See Us is a moving and heart-wrenching story.

Breaking Bad

This epic story about a high school chemistry teacher turned methamphetamine cook shows the spectrum of human nature, depicting the protagonist’s change from a loving family man to a cold killer. Vince Gilligan writes and directs this drama in five exciting seasons.

The Crown

The Crown is an electrical drama and period piece about the life of Elizabeth II, played by Claire Foy, as she lives in contemporary times. Season three drops November 17, and Oscar winner Olivia Colman assumes the role of the Queen, while Helena Bonham Carter joins as Princess Margaret.

Mad Men

This show, led by Jon Hamm, depicts ad men in New York City as they live debaucherous lives and sleep around in the conservative time of the 1960s. Mad Men has 7 seasons that will keep you hooked from the opening sequence.

The Staircase

The Staircase documents is the murder case of a writer’s wife who is initially pronounced dead by falling from a staircase, but evidence reveals her husband might have had something to do with it. The documentary crime drama is a thrilling one season that will fill your need for true crime.
