ROB LOWE IS SMOKIN’
Ryan Murphy's Fire Drama, 9-1-1 Lone Star

Your firefighter fantasy featuring Rob Lowe (I can’t be the only one who has thought about this) is about to become reality. The sexy, smoldering actor — who has aged beautifully, thank you very much — will lend his talents to Ryan Murphy’s series, 9-1-1 Lone Star.
Rob Lowe plays Owen Strand, a New York City firefighter who relocates to Austin, Texas, to be with his son (who might be the focus of an LGBTQ subplot). There is also a job offer on the table. Owen has been tasked with starting up a fire department from scratch — and he gets to choose his people. Owen comes in, ready to take over, but is quickly knocked off his high horse by Michelle Blake, played by Liv Tyler. Michelle is a paramedic, determined to make a name for herself in a male-dominated field. From the get-go, though, there is an obvious connection between Owen and Michelle. We’re guessing (or rather hoping) Michelle is the one dropping her robe in the trailer above.
Lone Star is a spin-off of another Ryan Murphy project, simply titled 9-1-1. The Fox series follows first responders, in Los Angeles. Over three seasons, 9-1-1 proves there is an audience for this type of show, so why not expand the universe? We all know Murphy is great at that.
The level of talent of the two leads elevates this drama. You won’t find cheesy, overdone acting from them and it allows you to concentrate on the characters. PROVOKR can’t wait to see Rob Lowe and Liv Tyler heating up screens, together.
