ALEXANDER LUDWIG
The Vikings Actor In Upcoming Thrilling Roles

Alexander Ludwig has spent the past seven years tearing it up as Bjorn in the historical drama Vikings. The second half of the final season is expected to air this year because production wrapped long before COVID-19 hit.
Ludwig’s Bjorn is one of the most captivating characters. For someone who is a history buff, Ludwig says the role is a dream to play. He even learned a bit of Old Norse for the role. Despite the centuries that divide Ludwig and Vikings, the 28-year-old finds himself relating to Bjorn on a personal level.

“He’s a human being with imperfections and does his best to right his wrongs as he learns from his mistakes,” Ludwig told GQ regarding his character on Vikings. “I live my life that way. I embrace failure and do what I can to be better the next time around.”
With the impending end of one of PROVOKR’s favorite shows, we can’t help but wonder what Ludwig has in store for a post-Vikings career.
For starters, Ludwig gained 24 pounds for his part in the Will Smith and Martin Lawrence-led comedy Bad Boys For LIfe. The film premiered earlier this year, and Ludwig’s performance was memorable. He even emailed Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for tips on bulking up.
As for his upcoming work, it appears Ludwig’s full talents will be on display. He’ll star in the drama Swing, which follows an Ivy League rowing team with Michael Shannon portraying an army vet who takes on coaching. Then, he’ll star in Night Teeth, a thriller about an Uber drive gone wrong. He serves as the chauffeur who drives actresses Sydney Sweeney and Debby Ryan around, but the women aren’t who they claim to be.
Perhaps the one we’re most excited about is Heels, a wrestling drama series about two brothers who portrayed opposite characters in the ring. Maybe this limited series will earn him some much needed awards recognition, propelling him into another phase of his career.
