APPLE PICKING
5 AppleTV+ Shows: Steinfeld, Momoa + more

Just when we were getting used to the number of streaming platforms out there, the industry is adding more. The long-awaited AppleTV+ launches November 1 with a slew of could-be hits and our wallets are already open for the latest content service. Here are five shows from AppleTV+ that you definitely don’t want to miss:
SEE
Any show with a shirtless Jason Momoa is definitely appealing, but this one has more than just a hunky lead. The series takes place in a dystopian society where its residents have gone blind. The citizens of this world have to adapt to life in the dark. Like all dystopias, the system breaks down when twins who can see are born. See also stars Alfre Woodard so it’s safe to say that we are excited.
See premieres Nov. 1.
DICKINSON
AppleTV+ cast actress/popstar Hailee Steinfeld as prolific writer Emily Dickinson. Even though the period piece is set in the 19th century, Dickinson’s themes are familiar to us today. It will especially appeal to the millennials with the focus on the coming-of-age plot.
Dickinson premieres Nov. 1.
THE MORNING SHOW
Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon lead the cast of a show that echoes the theme of the #MeToo movement. The show also stars Steve Carrell, whose character is fired from the anchor desk of a morning show after sexual harassment allegations surface. Anyone getting a Matt Lauer/Charlie Rose feeling about this? Jen’s character worries about her job security, especially, as Reese’s fresh-faced persona waltzes in to vie for the open position. It’s sadly relevant, and we predict that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association will take notice of The Morning Show at Golden Globe time.
The Morning Show premieres Nov. 1.
FOR ALL MANKIND
Imagine an alternate reality where the Russians are first to put a man on the moon and the space race continues. So instead of sending a man to the moon, the United States wants to be the first to land a woman on the moon. That’s the premise of the sci-fi thriller For All Mankind. Aerosmith’s “Dream On” serves as the musical backdrop for the trailer, perfectly encapsulating the spirit of the show and what still could happen in the U.S.
For All Mankind premieres Nov. 1.
SERVANT
The new streaming service is collaborating with one of this generation’s leading directors — M. Night Shyamalan. That’s right, the director with more tricks up his sleeve than your average magician will lend his capabilities to Servant. Not too much is known about the show, yet, but is that really a surprise with Shyamalan behind the scenes? What we do know is Harry Potter alum Rupert Grint will star in the series, and that’s enough reason to muster all your buzz and excitement around the project.
Servant premieres Nov. 28.
