BILLIE LOURD IS SCARY GOOD
The Scream Queen and Hollywood Princess Is Rising

If you need a hot new actress to follow, Billie Lourd is one to watch. As the only grandchild of late actress Debbie Reynolds and the only child of late actress Carrie Fisher, it’s safe to say that she is incredibly talented and gorgeous.
While she was born into a famous family, her acting career didn’t begin until 2015. She got her start on Ryan Murphy’s Scream Queens as Chanel #3, alongside well-known actresses Emma Roberts and Abigail Breslin. She also starred in the Star Wars series for the first time in 2015 as Lieutenant Connix and continued to make appearances in the next two movies. In 2017, she joined the American Horror Story cast and is now a season regular in the anthology series. She has also starred in films such as Billionaire Boys Club as Rosanna Ricci and Booksmart as Gigi.

Lourd credits a huge part of who she is to her family. She lost both her grandmother and her mother in December 2016, and both were very public losses. Despite losing both a day apart, Lourd decided to keep herself busy to help cope with her grief. “When [executive producer] Ryan offered me [American Horror Story] Cult, it was just a few months after my mom passed, and it honestly helped me process all of my emotions through these characters,” she told Entertainment Tonight in 2018. “And it’s been really healing and cathartic in an amazing way, and getting to be around all the incredible people on set, they’ve become like a family to me, and I cannot thank Ryan enough. Honestly, it kind of saved my life.”
Though Lourd is from Hollywood royalty, we admire that she has taken her path in the acting world, and we know that she’ll leave an unforgettable legacy just as her grandmother and mother did.

Luckily for us, Lourd has many upcoming projects. American Horror Story: Double Feature is set to premiere on August 25, 2021, after being delayed for a year due to the pandemic. Not much else is known about the upcoming season, except that it will most likely feature aliens and sirens–and we only know that because of this season’s promotions. Lourd will star in the main cast alongside AHS regulars Frances Conroy, Leslie Grossman, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross, Finn Wittrock, and newcomer Macaulay Culkin.
Along with American Horror Story, Lourd is set to star in a new series called American Horror Stories premiering July 15, 2021 (also produced by Ryan Murphy!), and a film titled Ticket to Paradise, due out in 2022. There’ve also been rumors that Murphy plans on bringing Scream Queens back to TV, whether it be through FOX or Netflix (praise the Lourd!), and if that’s the case, count us in.
