In another turn of a book to a series sub-genre of TV, Peacock will launch an adaption of Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World. Alden Ehrenreich leads the sexy dystopian thriller.

In the series’ world, artificially engineered people belong to certain societal groups. The Alphas are at the top. They’re rich, free of responsibility and nearly everything is legal for them. Ehrenreich’s character, John, hails from the Savage Lands, where his wild mother (Demi Moore) raised him. John’s rebellious side, curiosity and devilish good looks may earn him a one-way ticket to New London with the hot Lenina (Jessica Brown Findlay). There, John uncovers what’s going on in this society — but that doesn’t prevent him from having sex and taking drugs.

Ehrenreich was on his way to super-stardom a few years ago after starring in the Coen Brothers’ Hail Caesar! and Star Wars spin-off Solo. The latter met with controversy and the film wasn’t as good as anticipated. Seemingly because of that, Ehrenreich hasn’t had a role since. Perhaps Brave New World will give him a fresh start.

As for his co-star, Jessica Brown Findlay, you might know her from a little show called Downton Abbey. She starred in it as Lady Sybill Branson for three seasons. Since then, she starred in Harlots. Findlay has four projects in the works, so get used to seeing her.
