EMILIA CLARKE REVEALED
Marvel Superhero + Her Own Comic Book Series

The Mother of Dragons is about to dominate your screens, PROVOKRs. Emilia Clarke is making moves, joining some of the biggest franchises, and even doing a little writing. Let’s take a look at what the 34-year-old Brit has in store for us.
ABOVE SUSPICION
This long-delayed thriller is finally coming out. Above Suspicion is based on the true story of Susan Smith (Clarke). In the film, Clarke’s character becomes an FBI informant and falls in love with her handler (played by Jack Hutton). Above Suspicion was released on May 7.
HER MOVE TO MARVEL
First, she was in the Star Wars universe. Now she’s heading to the MCU. Clarke will play an unknown character in the Disney+ series Secret Invasion. Marvel has made many TV movies — follows Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Talos (Ben Mendelson) as they try to stop the Skrulls. Though we have no idea who she will be playing, we hold out hope that she is the villain. That would be killer.
AUTHOR OF A COMIC BOOK
What can’t this woman do? Clarke’s next venture started as a joke, but she decided to go for it upon second thought. Her superhero comic MOM: Mother of Madness is a three-issue miniseries that is rooted in real life.
“We’re always calling mothers superheroes, and I’m like, what if they were? What if they legitimately were superheroes?” she told Entertainment Weekly. “Maya has had a very hard life, and she finds herself in a place where everything that makes her unique, she hates and is ashamed about. It’s only in the discovery of her powers that she finds her true acceptance of who she is.”
Clarke said it has Deadpool-esque humor but with a feminist twist. Now that’s something we can’t wait to read.
