EUPHORIA’S DARKER SEASON 2

HBO’s smash hit series, Euphoria, finally returns on January 9th. Euphoria was originally adapted from an Israeli series and the mind of Sam Levinson who is the showrunner and main creative force behind the show. We expect Levinson to divide up directorial duties as he did in season1.

As for the cast all our favorites are back, Zendaya as Rue, Hunter Schafer as Jules, Sydney Sweeney as Cassie, Jacob Elordi as Nate, Barbie Ferreira as Kat, Angus Cloud as Fez, Alexa Damie as Maddy, Nika King as Leslie, Storm Reid as Gia, Algee Smith as Christopher, Maude Apatow as Lexi, Eric Dane as Cal and Colman Domingo as Ali are all returning. HBO has also confirmed three new additions to the cast: Minka Kelly from” Friday Night Lights”, Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. of “Black Mafia Family”and musician Dominic Fike. All three are playing new characters with Dominic Fike playing a bestie to Jules and Rue.
 

 

 

 

The plot of season 2 is a tough one to even try to figure out after watching the roller coaster trailer. We do know that Rue is no longer sober and quite obviously drunk and Rue and Jules reunite if only briefly. We feel it’s even darker than season 1 and things seem to be getting crazily way out of hand.

Zenday told InStyle, “There is a beautiful second season that was written.” Jacob Elordi, chatting with Jimmy Kimmel said, ” It’s insane. It’s just Insane…….like a completely different show.” Zenday revealed a bit more to Teen Vogue,”It’s a challenging season, It’s going to be hard and it’s going to be devastating sometimes.” Sydney Sweeney recalled a phone call with Sam Levinson
who read to her from parts of the script and she said,”Oh my gosh, wait! I couldn’t even guess it, it’s just shocking.” Sounds like just the way we like it.

Don’t even get us talking about the soundtrack which will once again blow our minds.
