The Best Mafia Series Is Back From Italy
Good news, American Gomorrah fans — the series just got a lot easier to binge. HBO Max has secured rights to the bold Italian mafia series, and its upcoming seasons will premiere there. And the good news doesn’t end there: Season three dropped on the platform on Jan. 21.
The crime drama about families in Naples airs internationally on Sky TV, but the HBO Max deal will bring its fifth season to American audiences at the same time. Gomorrah used to go to Netflix after its international debut. Perhaps this means HBO Max is planning an international rollout soon. We can only hope.
Season three is full of many twists and turns. With Gennaro in charge of the drug trade, Ciro has to find redemption from his actions at the end of season two. This leads the characters on an intense path. Let’s hope they can all avoid jail.
Season four aired internationally last year and so did the spin-off movie, The Immortals. If everything is on track, we shouldn’t have to wait long for the story’s continuation. Rumor has it season five will be its last, but who knows. Maybe you can change the tides by getting you and everyone you know to watch it.
