In mid-July, Henry Cavill broke the internet. It wasn’t because of an upcoming film or TV show. It had nothing to do with his good looks and charming disposition. No, it was because he has spent his quarantine building a gaming computer. Now he has been dubbed The Hottest Nerd by Twitter.
He posted the video on his IG with a sexually charged caption: “This kind of material isn’t for everyone….viewer discretion is advised. You may see a lot of parts that you haven’t seen before.” IGN estimates the rig cost $4,100.
Toward the end of 2019, Cavill starred in season one of the steamy fantasy drama The Witcher. In the show, Cavill plays a buff, mutated monster hunter. He struggles to find his place in the fantastical world as he discovers humans are just as bad as monsters. The series was met with great reviews and will return for a second season. It was in the middle of production when COVID-19 halted it.
If you’re worried you won’t see the former Superman star at all coming up, think again. He’s starring in Enola Holmes, which follows Sherlock’s daughter as she finds her missing mom. There’s no doubt Cavill will tap into his inner “nerd” to play Sherlock, as Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown assumes Enola’s role. Helena Bonham Carter plays the mother and Sam Claflin stars too. The film is complete and set for a release later this year. Thank the heavens because we need to see god on earth Henry Cavill on our screens ASAP.
