Zoë Kravitz’s Top 5 Breakups In High Fidelity
Who could ever break up with someone who looks like Zoë Kravitz? The Hollywood royal is drop-dead gorgeous and multi-talented. This time, the Big Little Lies star is lending her skills to the Hulu remake High Fidelity.
The original High Fidelity, a 1995 novel by Nick Hornby, focuses on a London-based record store owner named Rob. He’s sad about his girlfriend dumping him, leading him to create his Top 5 list of ultimate heartbreaks. The novel became a movie in 2000. It was set in Chicago and starred John Cusak. Then in 2006, it became a Broadway musical but lasted for just 31 performances.
As for the Hulu adaptation, we move to Crown Heights, Brooklyn, but that’s about all that changes. Zoë Kravitz’s character is still named Rob and all of the other characteristics are still there. And, let’s be honest, it’s way more convincing that Zoë Kravitz owns a record store than John Cusak. It’s only fitting that Lenny Kravtiz’s daughter is rocking graphic tees in a vinyl store in Brooklyn. Along with starring in the series, Zoë Kravitz serves as an executive producer, which is fitting for this big-time actress.
The trailer (see it above) hints at a comprehensive lineup of characters. It’s a free-spirited, emotional adaptation that fits right into the 2020s. We should be seeing more Zoë Kravitz projects — and PROVOKR is ready to take anything she offers us.
