IT’S HEATING UP
The Girlfriend Experience, Pose, Loki, Younger+

It’s almost here, PROVOKRs. That’s right, summer TV is right around the corner, and lineups are starting to heat up. The late spring/early summer schedule is full of shows that will undoubtedly get your heart racing. Join us, will you?
THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE
It’s FINALLY back! Riley Keough was the lead of the first two seasons that aired in 2016 and 2017, but a new call girl in town is just as intelligent and sexy. Julia Goldani Telles takes on her first primary lead performance — and according to the trailer, she’s doing it in style. Season 3 will feature sex unlike ever seen before. Steven Soderbergh returns as a producer for the Starz series, which starts May 2.
POSE
Season 3 of Ryan Murphy’s captivating voguing drama will be its last. The award-winning series starring Billy Porter returns May 2. The heartfelt series talks about chosen family, especially within the LGBTQ community, and features a predominantly Black, transgender cast. It’s also one of the only current shows that features HIV storylines. It’s safe to say Pose showcased lives we rarely see on TV, and that will be missed.
SELENA: THE SERIES (PART 2)
Part one of Selena: The Series documented the Tejano star’s early years. Part 2 will wrap up her tragic story. Christian Serratos returns as the lead on the Netflix series beginning May 15.
LOKI
Ah, yes, another Marvel series. Loki truly is the master of evading death — thank God for that because we get more of Tom Hiddleston. The series takes place after the events of Endgame when he stole the tesseract and disappeared. Yeah, it’s crazy, but at least it’s giving us good content.
YOUNGER
Speaking of final seasons, TVLand’s sexy series Younger is ending after seven seasons. The first few episodes will be released early on Paramount+ on April 15 and run through the summer. We’ll miss the fantastic cast of Sutton Foster, Hilary Duff, Nico Tortorella, and many others. Let’s hope they produce one of those spin-offs.
MARE OF EASTTOWN
Kate Winslet’s detective series is almost here. Premiering on HBO Max on April 18, the series will run for seven weeks and puts Winslet in the role of a small-town detective in Pennsylvania. We can’t wait to see that.
THE HANDMAID’S TALE
The wait is almost over. After COVID-19 prevented the premiere of season four of The Handmaid’s Tale, Elisabeth Moss is finally back as June. In this season, she leads the resistance, and hopefully, it will remain successful.
