Annie Murphy has left Schitt’s Creek behind, but that doesn’t mean she has ditched the sitcom life. The actress, who played Alexis on the Emmy-winning series, leads AMC’s upcoming series Kevin Can F**k Himself

Murphy plays Allison, a housewife, at the center of a sitcom. One day, she realizes not everything has to revolve around home and her husband, and she breaks the sitcom curse. The series brings in a dramatic aspect as Allison lives her life outside of the sitcom. It takes the tired trope of the housewife and brings a 21st-century angle to it.

Schitt’s Creek was undeniably Murphy’s breakout role, but Kevin Can F**k Himself has the power to turn her into another TV leading lady. Perhaps it will even lead to another Emmy after she won her first in 2020.

But her rise to true fame doesn’t stop there. She will star in season two of Natasha Lyonne’s Groundhog Day-esque Netflix hit Russian Doll. Though we don’t know what role she will play in the witty series yet, we are excited to find out as season two starts filming.

The first season Kevin Can F**k Himself, will be eight episodes. The first two will be available on June 13 on AMC+ (yes, another streaming service), but it will air weekly on AMC starting June 20. We can’t wait to see what Annie Murphy brings to this dramedy. Maybe it will even include a little bit of Alexis.
