The TV gods have blessed our quarantine schedules because the season three premiere of Killing Eve was moved up by two weeks. The BBC series — it airs on AMC in the U.S. — brings Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer back to our small screens, and we could not be more excited. It was originally slated for an April 26 return, but has kindly been moved to April 12 to bring us joy during the coronavirus.

Along with the date change, BBC dropped the full-length trailer. We’ve devoured it and we’re here to dish out all the little secrets. The first being a major one: Eve isn’t dead.

Sandra Oh in Killing Eve Season Three

You might remember that season two ended with Villanelle (Comer) shooting Eve (Oh). It was probably payback from Eve almost killing her at the end of season one. If you thought the show’s title, Killing Eve, was going to come true, then you’re wrong. Love and obsession never dies.

The trailer opens with Villanelle talking about her breakup, alluding to Eve. But when we see Villanelle for the first time, she is dressed as a clown blowing up balloon animals at a birthday party. What looks like a career change may only be a distraction because she is then shown in a beautiful mansion with her handler, Konstantin (Kim Bodnia). He tells her Eve is still alive. Dun, dun, duuuun.

What we learn next is that it appears Eve has not made it back home. She seems to be on the run and looking for Villanelle as usual. But Villanelle is always one step ahead. Season three looks like it will be a whirlwind of cat-and-mouse antics. Who’s the cat and who’s the mouse is unclear as of now, but that just makes it much more thrilling.
