Kin: Destructive Violence
Super Cast Play Dublin True Crime Families

Kin is a brand new crime-drama show that’s essentially like the Irish version of the Sopranos—so if you’re a big fan of gang wars, huge families, and money, then keep reading. (It’s also been said that if you’re a fan of Peaky Blinders, you may enjoy this ‘present-day sibling’ of that show!)
Kin follows the Kinsella crime family in Dublin, who are at odds with a drug cartel. The series follows the reaction when one of Frank Kinsella’s sons confronts a drug cartel. It’s described as another retelling of the story of David and Goliath.
Starring in this Irish series includes Emmett J. Scanlan (Peaky Blinders) as Jimmy Kinsella, Hannah Adeogun as Anna Areoye, Charlie Cox (Daredevil) as Michael Kinsella, Maria Doyle Kennedy (Orphan Black) as Bridget ‘Birdy’ Goggins, Clare Dunne (Herself) as Amanda Kinsella, Aiden Gillen (Game of Thrones) as Frank Kinsella, Sam Keeley as Eric’ Viking’ Kinsella, and Yasmin Seky as Nikita Murphy. The series was created by Ciaran Donelly and Peter McKenna and produced by Shane Murphy.

Charlie Cox shared his decision to join the show and play the infamous Michael Kinsella:
“I was excited that you’re meeting a man who is different from his reputation. You and his family recognize that something is different about Michael and that in the eight years he’s been away, he’s changed. I wanted Michael to be humbled severely by life. To have a desire to make a U-turn but beneath that there is, and remains, the ability to be violent and destructive. I feel like I know I can do delicate stuff, find vulnerability, but can I do that and reveal glimpses of a man you wouldn’t ever want to cross?”

The series premiered on September 9 on AMC+, so the first episode is already available to watch. Still not sure if you’re sold? Check out the trailer below to catch a glimpse of the show:
