We think it’s finally safe to say that Madonna’s ongoing excellence is—with the exception of death and taxes—the surest thing in life. After defying the laws of time, societal taboos, and, let’s face it, gravity for close to four decades, the Queen of Pop continues her reign with the premiere of Madonna: Rebel Heart Tour, a behind-the-scenes look at her epic seven-month, 55-city journey (watch the trailer, above). Replete with new hits and old, surprise guest appearances and backstage intrigue, the new film, which premieres December 9 on Showtime, promises to give us a fresh peek at an icon who is as fun, sexy and provocative as ever. Long live the Queen!
