MIKE COLTER SEEKS EVIL
Loved Luke Cage, Now He's Looking for the Unnatural

The hot group of demon investigators in Evil is back for season two, but this time it’s on a new network…well, kind of. Instead of airing on CBS, the Mike Colter-led series will drop episodes weekly on Paramount+ starting June 20.
Now, if you’re not familiar with Evil, we implore you to drop whatever you’re doing and start binging. Yes, that means to tell your boss you’re logging off early. Season one is 13 episodes of pure demonic activity that will have you praying for more.
The series follows priest-in-training David (Colter), skeptical clinical psychologist Kristen (Katja Herbers), and blue-collar contractor Ben (Aasif Mandvi). Together they investigate alleged miracles, demonic possessions, and other extraordinary events to see if there’s a scientific explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work. The series seamlessly blends drama and comedy, and, according to Colter, season two will be a lot more creative with its move to streaming.

“It’s going to open a lot more creatively and I think that’s really important for the show,” Colter told Entertainment Tonight. “Creatively, I think it’ll be more.”
That creativity will allow them to go even darker with the storylines and explore religion more. That will be the focus of season two as the trio will face a “come to Jesus” moment, teases Colter.
With Evil’s new home, perhaps we will see even more Colter in the future. We loved him in Netflix’s Luke Cage, which was cut devastatingly short.
Despite being moved to Paramount, there will still be plenty of scenes where Colter is shirtless: “Listen, I gotta be ready at any given moment … they don’t warn you, they don’t even ask you. I’m on set and someone comes in and rips my shirt off,” Colter said. “And then that’s it,” he jokes. “I don’t even know what’s going to happen, so I gotta stay ready. They got a handful [shirtless scenes this season]. Keep watching, you’ll get to it.”
Evil season 2 premieres June 20 on Paramount+ with episodes dropping weekly.
