STEAMY STREAMING: PLATONIC LOVE
Booksmart, The Help, Wolf Of Wall Street + more!

Everyone loves a good romance movie, but sometimes the gushy love can be overwhelming. That’s why it’s cool to see totally platonic love. Sure there is no chance of getting it on in the backseat of a car, or no longing looks of sexual desire. But nothing is more wholesome than friendships that could have crossed over into relationships but didn’t.
BOOKSMART
Olivia Wilde’s summer breakout film Booksmart follows the friendship of Amy (Kaitlyn Dever) and Amy (Beanie Feldstein). They get into all sorts of shenanigans like true BFFs when they realize they should live it up in high school. The film is officially available to rent on Amazon.
THE HELP
Skeeter (Emma Stone) and Aibileen (Viola Davis) are like star-crossed lovers — their friendship was looked down upon. That only strengthened their friendship. As they learned and opened up to each other for Skeeter’s book, it was evident they were going to change lives. The Help is available on Showtime.
THE WOLF OF WALL STREET
Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Donnie Azoff (Jonah Hill) are definitely goals — even if they are doing quaaludes. Their friendship is taken on and off the screen, but it’s all thanks to this Martin Scorsese film. We love these two and this movie. The Wolf of Wall Street is available to rent on YouTube.
SHERLOCK HOLMES
Let’s be real, Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey, Jr.) had some feelings for Dr. Watson (Jude Law). We can’t blame him. And Watson had to have a real connection to Sherlock to want to stick around because he can be kind of unbearable. Luckily, they make a good team. Sherlock Holmes is available on Netflix.
THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER
Charlie (Logan Lerman) expressed his feelings for Sam (Emma Watson), but it was clear they both decided to just remain friends. They accepted the love they thought they deserved, and it was a strong friendship. The Perks of Being A Wallflower is available to rent on YouTube.
