Season 2 of the Netflix drama
The series that tracks the rise and fall of Colombian cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar gets even darker in its second season. The tale resumes with Escobar escaping from prison and hell-bent on rebuilding his empire at any cost. Thus begin the infamous “narco wars” with Escobar on one side and a iron-fisted Colombian government on the other. The battle becomes rife with atrocities committed by both sides and an ever-burgeoning body count. In fact, things get so messy that it will leave viewers wondering where their allegiances lie. “There are going to be just as many people rooting for [Escobar’s] death as there are for him rooting to get away,” said the series showrunner Eric Newman.
