A Romance For All Time
Starz took a chance with Outlander. To the untrained eye, the series, based on the books by Diana Gabaldon, looks like it could be campy kitsch, but it’s actually one of the most romantic, dramatic, and binge-worthy shows out there.
The series is gearing up to launch its third season, which promises more of the wistful, star-crossed, time-travel romance fans have come to know and adore. With the exceptionally well-produced battle scenes and tightly-scripted character drama, this is a series that millions keep tuning in to week after week.
As TV hunks go, Sam Heughan is the hottest thing since Charlie Hunnam in Sons of Anarchy, while Caitriona Balfe is perfect as the aspirational lead. How long can the show last? Well, the Outlander books ran for eight volumes, so, hopefully, Starz is in it for the long haul. We can’t wait to see what lays in store for Claire and Jamie, as well as their unborn baby!
